Did any Polish Airmen in the UK suffer from LMF
Much has been written about 'Lack of Moral Fibre' (LMF), but for any Poles under RAF Command I get the impression that this was less of a problem. Is this true or was LMF just as prevalent in the RAF as PAF?

Re: Did any Polish Airmen in the UK suffer from LMF
I have never encountered any case of LMF or PTSD resulting from wartime service, the lattter just only with the former concentration camp or gulag prisoners.
That said, this is not a proof that it never happened, but certainly indicates that this was not the major problem. I guess thsi is because the airmen were willing to go, and this was very much their war, so highly motivated. It would be interesting to compare that with the other airmen coming from occupied countries. Franek |
