You are totally out of order. Obviously respect is low on your assessment of other members. Michael is a professional medical consultant.

i hope that you are man enough to offer an apology.

Brian

PS: I've received my share of abuse on this Forum.

Re: Peter Horn

Good evening Brian,

I'm not a member of any non-airwar-forum but I was told that disproportionate aggressiveness has become a wide-spread problem in the internet. Misanthropes feel free to abuse forums for their offences because they don't have to face any consequences and ANY kind of reaction by the other members only seems to stimulate them further. Without the benefit of proper forum moderation all that the friendly members can do is to ignore them and to concentrate on the other friendly forum members.

Peter Horn seems to be a delicate case and threads about him often receive a large about of hate speech. That raises the suspicion that he was real indeed, and not only a hoax. If that's the case than the lack of clear info about him might be due to a purposeful attempt to erase him from history for reasons that can easily be imagined.

All the best to you and your current projects,

Michael

That may well have been the case when he posted his comment in February 2022, Brian but in my view it’s better not to reignite that particular fire getting on for more than two years later. Of course I’d urge everyone to be polite to one another now and in future.

Re: Peter Horn

The dane Peter Horn was a real person, and served with the danish airforce pre war. He never joined the Luftwaffe but was a member of the danish nazi party, and therefore expelled from any military sevice in 1945. He went on to be an innkeper. But I have published thise facts before in this forum.

Michael

The old thread is here
http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...t=45932&page=8

Since Jörn has proven time and again that the DANE Peter Horn was not in the Luftwaffe,
why are you constantly trying to disprove that?

Using old and dated internet data is useless since they are wrong.

Johannes Mathews in his Aces biographies has no Horn listed at all. Obviously there were
one or more individual who belonged to JG 51 with his lastname listed as Horn, but lacking
any given name, meaning we don't even know if that name was Peter or not.

In a list sent to me by Johannes post his books, he has unfortunately included the faulty
"Peter Horn" data, no doubt due to the "pressure" on this site!
I don't know if he has removed him since.

I have no way of knowing if we have an unknown Peter Horn with JG 51 or if the data originally given
by Hans Ring was just a fantasy made up by him.

Cheers
Stig
