Ju87 data plate - Italian use?

This is a recast of a recent post seeking to determine history for a Ju87 based on its WNr. This new post is to draw attention to the possibility that this airplane may have served with the Regia Aeronautica and hopefully gain information from subject experts in that area.

Thank you,
Steve

Re: Ju87 data plate - Italian use?

Italian board members and Italianophiles,

To assist Steve he is looking for information showing the Matricola Militare for Ju 87 D-3 that had previously had the Stkz KK+GB and KK+GD. Is the correspondence between these Stkz and the MM known? Are the units which these individual aircraft were allocated to known?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Ju87 data plate - Italian use?

I've checked the documents I've got about Ju 87D deliveries to Regia Aeronautica and I've to confirm the content of the list included in the booklet "Gli Stuka della Regia Aeronautica". So, there is no evidence of the delivery to Italy of 100302 and 100304. There is mention of the delivery of 110302 to 103° Gruppo at Siena on 22 april 1943 but this wr doesn't appear in the following lists of the aircraft on charge to this unit.
Please note that italian Ju 87D were always identified by wr. nr. and that they apparently didn't receive any M.M.
ciao
