HI,

I'm trying to know which USAAF unit used the C47: 43-30729 e 1944/1945?

What I have found.


30729 (MSN 13880) to USAAF 05Oct43. 8th AF 18Dec43. Oberpfaff 01Jan48. FLC Turkey 21Feb49 To Turkish AF as 6068, coded 12-068. Since 1999 on display at Luftbruecken Museum, Fassbert, Germany as 315208 (43-15208), namded the "Fassberg Flyer"

The problem with that is that the IARC very rarely gives any unit data once it departs US soil.
While in USA you usually get the Base unit details and not the actual unit at stated base.

The Air Britain book says (beside Ed's data) 9th AF 82TCS (Dec 1944).

To find out its correct where abouts you need to find the units ORBs.
