Re: Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eighth
Bob Livingstone has pointed out that this was originally published in 2007.
The second edition has 64 more pages so it can be accurately described as 'revised'. I assume that the cover price for the 2025 edition is reflective of the amount of color used for the photos and profiles. Not sure how the second 'H' was lost for the title on the new edition. - Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eight_ Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eighth (Atelier Kecay 2007) by Jacek Jackiewicz and Robert Bock 120 pages w/ color and b&w illustrations - paperback "This book is both historical and a reference tool. The black and white photographs provide the history of the Assembly ships used in WWII. The color illustrations are a great reference for all aircraft modelers. The Assembly ships of WWII were unsung heroes in assisting the fliers be where they needed to be in warfare." Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eight (MMP Books, an imprint of Casemate - 10 February 2025) by Jacek Jackiewicz and Robert Bock Illustrated by Jacek Jackiewicz 184 pages w/" color profiles and period photos - paperback (8.2" x 11.8") $55 US "This book is a detailed exploration of the specialized aircraft used during World War II to help organize and assemble bomber formations. This book delves into the vital role these assembly ships played in ensuring successful bombing missions by the US Eighth Air Force. Featuring meticulously researched text and a rich collection of period photographs, the book also includes color profiles by Jacek Jackiewicz, offering a comprehensive visual representation of these unique aircraft." https://www.casematepublishers.com/9...-mighty-eight/ |

Re: Assembly Ships of the Mighty Eighth
Edward,
So-called AI is being used by Amazon now. So it gets things wrong but they don't have to pay anyone to input titles anymore. So a win, for them. Best, Ed |
