Did Erich Hartman ever flew on F-104 Starfighter?

No. Definitely not. He had strong opinions on the 104, but not a second of first-hand experience.

He flew at least T-33 and F-86.

Hartmann flew T-6, T-33, F-84 and F-86. Joined the new Luftwaffe in 1956. Did his conventional refresher in Landsberg on T-6s, was converted to jets at Fuerstenfeldbruck (T-33) in '57, then went to the U.S. for combat training on F-84 with Rall, Obleser and a handful of other WW II aces. Became Kommodore of JG 71 "Richthofen" in Ahlhorn, later Wittmund. Quit the Luftwaffe in 1970 as Oberst (Colonel). Wasn't in very high esteem as a leader.
