JOHN: Yes you are right. III./JG 54 I reffer to was made from II./ZG 76. so most of the pilots were Zerstorer pilots, if we call them so. However some had fighting experiences, but most, like Schmidt, who was ex KG 100 airman, didn't.

TREVOR and BRIAN: Schmidt noticed his flights in number 15 on 22.2.1945, 8.3.1945 and 11.3.1945. Then he flew on number 13. So I assume the date 11.3.1945 is correct and the plane was either repaired or left to its fate. Is it possible that the state of damage is more 35% than 15% so the WNr, should be 759560?
It is interesting that first flight in this plane was still under II./ZG 76, but other two with III./JG 54.
Is it possible to get scan of the article some of you mentioned here, and possibly also those photos? my email is in the signature
