Re: Question for those expert in Bf109 G
For what it's worth, the manual for the Bf 109G-AS (as of August 1944) and for the Bf 109 G-5 with GM-1 system (as of August 1944) both make no mention of fuel, so I assume it remained at B-4 (87 octane).
As an aside, the GM-1 manual mentions the need for care during take-off with the trim needing to be moved to 1 1/2 degrees nose heavy. |

Just for note;
The Americans found at Corbeil (Gare) in France an G-5 / AS serial 110351 DB 605 AS-O with MW-50 system and also found a G-5 at Haut-dÁndrieu with the same engine but with GM-1 system according with the Ai(g) 2 report.I also found a photo at Frape Book page 269 showing an Me 109 G-4 belonging to a Rec. unit using C-3 type fuel with MW-50 probably.
