Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

And I will add my thanks to Rudi. One picture is worth a thousand words. It can help fill in missing pieces as research continues.

Thanks Rudi,
Thanks but I didn't "took over". I'm just filling in the gaps: posting what the regular posters missed. Apparently my saved searches on eBay seem to come up with items other people don't find.

Here is one more:

Well RudiS,

Your vigil is highly rewarding : your latest find shows in the background a Bf 109 G-6/AS, G-14/AS or G-10, from the Stab of an unknown II. Gruppe.
In the foreground, you might have a Bf 109 K-4 from an early production batch, in the W.Nr. 330xxx - 331xxx. Still unsure though.

As for the location, might this be Bad Lippspringe ?

Cheers
Marc

Looks like we have an early citizen of Tulsa who wanted to put that place on the map. I only thought Gene Pitney knew where it was....at least back in the 1960s...

Cheers

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Thanks Rudi,
It seems that Stab machine belongs to the same "family" of "Red 5" (whatever the code colour) said to have been pictured at Pau (sic) ...

Post # 1017: France wreck https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-photo-...8AAOSwNOVa3lXf

This a/c appears to be a P-47, possibly a captured example.
