Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

You're welcome, Michiel; as for this Würger, it rings a bell. One of the SG2 machines which landed near Munich ?

Cheers
Marc

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hey there guys,
this is Fw 190 A-5 2522 TF+LL, yellow (?) "4", captured in München-Oberwiesenfeld. There were other, similarly marked Fw 190s on this airfield. Perhaps they did belong to Lufkriegsschule 4?

Thanks by the way for posting this links, Snautzer - I have been looking for a clean shot of this NSGr.2 Ju 87 D3+DL for years! (this one was also captured in Oberwiesenfeld)

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Why would such an aircraft be sold to a private individual and why would it be scrapped at his farm? Something does not sound right. I doubt they were selling it for 100 dollars Canadian.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Ed

I can't attach the file, as it's a pdf and an error mentioned it's too big for the forum, of an article titled "Logans Air Force" in Aeroplane Monthly December 1996. It doesn't mention what he paid for the 262, but does say what other planes sold for.

If anyone would like I can send it via PM.

Regards

Vince...
