Re: GQM Verluste und Unfälle.

The loss list was distributed fairly widely, so there is some hope that at least one copy or a part still survives. My holy grail is a complete C-Amt Monatsmeldung for the war. My current search is directed at the US Archives at Silver Hill. I have some evidence a complete copy was in the USA at one time and some hope it might still exist. Perhaps all we need is the right place to look. Most of 1941 is in the BA images. If anyone has seen more, I would appreciate the RL reference.

I am quite reluctant to think that the missing lists do exist, unless they lie on some stash in a private house or hidden in some vault. I have in mind the release from Soviet archives, and I must say, they were a bit disappointing for me.

The thing that should have been done, but it would be tremendous job, is to recreate a list of documents and their copies, and then to identify each surviving document by a body of its origin. As noted, there was a quite long distribution list on GQ6 files, so it is a matter of tracing the fate of archives of each body listed. I give not much hope, though.
