Sorry, I just missunderstood You... "After Ossmann", not "Ossmann".

Re: List of StaKa's I./ZG 1, Erpr.Gr.210, I./SKG 210, I./ZG 1.

Hello

I noticed a minor but confusing error:
Falck (Gruppenkommandeur I./ZG 1) was told to become Geschwaderkommodore of the new NJG 1 on 26th June 1940 (when the I./ZG 1 - minus 1./ZG 1 under Oblt. Lutz - was renamed into I./NJG 1).
At this very day the actual Staffelkapitän of the 2./ZG 1 was Oblt. Günther Radusch, not Werner Streib who was leading a Flughafenbetriebskompanie (air servicing squadron) of the I./ZG 1 if I do remember it correctly.
When Falck left, Radusch was promoted to Gruppenkommandeur of this I./NJG 1. Successor of Radusch was the already mentioned Oblt. Werner Streib, therefore Streib was never Staffelkapitän of a Zerstörerstaffel.
The actual change of commands was on the 8th July in Düsseldorf-Lohausen during a military ceremony.

All the best, Marcel Hogenhuis

Major Karl Philiip Hammes was born 25. March 1896 in Zell/Mosel. He served in WW I with Feldfliegerabteilung (A)276 and later with Jasta 35. Afterhis fourth Abschuß he was also badly wounded and spent the rest in several Lazarets. After the war he became an famos Opern Tenor and give the Rigoletto in Don Giovanni, Don Juan, Papageno etc. He play in Berlin, Paris, Genf and Kairo. In 1936 he goes to the new Luftwaffe and was one of the oldest Fighterpilots on Service. In March 1939 he became Major and was Staffelkapitän 1./ZG 1 at Jüterbog-Damm.
On 6. September he was shoot down by P.11c NÖ Warschau, he was able to crash his stricken Bf 110 C 2N+IH . He died on his wounds, his Bordfunker Ofw. Steffen became PoW by the Polish Army. After the Polenfeldzug Major Hammes was still MIA. On 29. Oktober 1939 an searchunit from Feldgendarmerieabteilung (mot) 531 found the crashplace and the fieldgrave from Major Hammes. He was burried at the Soldatenfriedhof Warschau-Powazki. This grave gone lost after 1945.

THX for info. Updated.

2N+IH was Bf110C-1? It could be seen on one photoe, showing specific rear gunner position. Is Werk.Nr. known?

Does anybody know - was Hptm. August Bier StaKa 2./ZG 1 in late 1942?

Oblt. Heinz Forgatsch (RK, 14.06.1941), StaKa 3./Erpr.Gr210>SKG210?

He flew 50 combat missions during BoB, and sunk 1 cargo ship.

Crashed in Rechlin a/f while test flight in Me210.
