Re: OBD Memorial VVS losses database.

This old thread on RAFCoammands forum mentions four Russian officers killed in an aircraft crash in England in 1942:
http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/sho...rmen-30-4-1942

Col Pousachew
Major Asjamrov
Major P Barranov
Major B Shuetsov

or

Sergei Asimor, aged 32.
Petre Baranov, aged 35
Grigoy Pugachev, aged 38
Boris Shvetzou, aged 31

The spellings are of course from English sources. Does this OBD database incldue them I wonder? Date of death 30 April 1942.

Re: OBD Memorial VVS losses database.

Dennis,

Peter Ivanovich Baranov (1909-1942), a military engineer, and Col. Petrovich Grigory Pugachev (1905-1942) assistant to the air attaché, were members of a/the Russian military mission in Britain, appointed as such on 5 July 1941.

Flickr photo database has their death certificates online...

They are now easily available as a set of direct links to specific loss reports. The Russian internet is becoming a very interesting source of information! See below:

Links to divisional loss reports - air divisions

Ссылки на донесения о потерях дивизий, выложеные на сайте ОБД-Мемориал
Авиационные дивизии
teatrskazka.com/Raznoe/DivDocs/DivDocs10.html

Supplement 1. List of the air armies for which loss report links are available

Дополнение 1. Перечень воздушных армий, ссылки на донесения о потерях которых представлены на сайте
teatrskazka.com/Raznoe/DivDocs/DivDocsAdd1.html

Re: OBD Memorial VVS losses database.

Hi guys,

Links to divisional loss reports - air divisions

Ссылки на донесения о потерях дивизий, выложеные на сайте ОБД-Мемориал
Авиационные дивизии
teatrskazka.com/Raznoe/DivDocs/DivDocs10.html

I would like to know a little more about how to plug this information in the
OBD Memorial site. For example the data on this site: teatrskazka.com/Raznoe/DivDocs/DivDocs10.html
gives dates and numbers which I assume relate to the specific documents, so where does one enter these numbers to pull up the doc's in question ?

best regards
Oquaig
