Re: Pls help to solve the fate of a mysters. Fw 200

Figures like 12 -14 are by far to high. So far I could identy only 5 Fw 200s that might have been involved and landed at a save haven, not necessarily all of them going via Kurland, plus another one that is said to have been lost due to enemy action at Libau.

Re: Pls help to solve the fate of a mysters. Fw 200

Four to Germany, one Sweden, one MIA Kurland ;
What about the remaining 35 that formed Transportstaffel Condor in October 1944?

xxxx wrecked at Vaernes on take-off in early May 45. 0133 left at Gardermoen May 45.
0172 dam Aalborg Jan 45,
0205 left at Vaaler May 45,
xxxx captured in Greece 1944/1945.

Only one is listed as C-5 on M. Holms Flzg.bestandliste of III/KG 40 end of Oct 44. I thought the Waggum one was a C-8. Anyway good answer, Mr. Ott, thanks.

Fw 200 book then finally coming?

Re: Pls help to solve the fate of a mysters. Fw 200

5 were written-off during evacuation flights from Northern Finland in October 1944 and by mid January 1945 only 19 Fw 200s were left in Norway. Another 10 had already been ferried to Germany, mostly intended to be maintained by DLH but also including transfers to Sdko. Condor of Luftflotte 4. These ferry flights to Germany continued and in the disbanding order of 7th March 1945 it was stated once again that Tr.Fl.St. Condor's disposable aircraft were to be transferred to DLH, while air crews had to take new functions with other units engaged in reconnaissance to the West.
All Fw 200 conversions of previous C-4 to C-8 models for Kehl operations were to be designated C-5/FK - including former C-4/0191 F8+MS at Gothenburg and also F8+CT at Waggum. Yes, I am still working on it.
