Re: Photos Albatros C.I

I suspect given the date, he wasn't given many more opportunities to wreck anything and who knows, so hopefully survived the war.

Clint

I notice you keep calling the unit Cöln while the guy who wrote the text on the flip side says Trier

I confess, I have not read /updated myself on these early units, but can you expand why you say Cöln all the time (not only here)

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos Albatros C.I

Hi Stig,

Well I'll cover my bets here and state that I did say probably. I saw that the writer wrote Kampfstaffel Trier on the back of the last photo and headed all with Kampfstaffel Trier. However, the photos all appeared to be (with the possible exception of the last photo) from Cöln-Butzweiler. I therefore, bearing in mind that I was by this stage uncertain about the designation of the Fokker photos as being FEA 7, started having doubts about the Kasta Trier attribution. But given the dates, I would have to concede you are probably correct and I should have taken the seller's information at face value! I'll probably go back and check the Rumpler C.I photos again too.

Regards,

Clint
