The incident on 27.3.1919 when Lt Hutton died of injuries was in DH.9A F987. His pilot was Lt R Burgess who was not injured in the crash. B Rgds Stig |

Thanks for the useful update. This quite confirms that Lt. Hutton died due to the crash at Vaals. Newspapers indeed wrote that the co-occupant was not injured. Regards, Leendert |

Air Force List Casualties has Lt Hutton William Douglas Campbell "Killed" 28 Mar 19 - I accept these dates are not always accurate . I accept accident on 27th - Only issue is did he die that day or day after"
