Re: Fokker B.I/B.II Serial Assistance

Hi,

I'm hoping that there's a bibliography in Vol.2 because there isn't for Vol.1. I say this because an earlier book has been published in German on the Halberstädter Flugzeugwerke, but I can't for the life of me remember its title. I do know though that most of the serial numbers Jack Herris gives for the early Halberstadt machines were already included in the earlier work, so I suspect he's read it. (edit I've just read the intro again and as usual Reinhard Zankl is the serials expert). I suspect it's going to be out of print anyway as I recall trying to obtain a copy in the past, but I suspect the book may have more info on any Halberstadt - Fokker connection. Alternatively the designs could just be pirated. It wasn't unknown at the time including Fokker himself.

Edit

I've just ordered Halberstadt. Luftfahrtgeschichte in einer deutschen Fliegerstadt by Werner Hartmann. I hope that's the book I was thinking about above.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Fokker B.I/B.II Serial Assistance

Hello,

Currently on ebay an example of the rarely seen Fokker B.I 1043/14

https://www.ebay.de/itm/286090575879...YAAOSwpupm~tqJ

The seller also has other photos of FEA 5 machines, although I don't recall that the Albatros C.IX served with that unit

The seller also has a photo of a Fokker Eindecker.
