Re: Photos Captured German Aircraft

Hi Stig,

Totally agree.Regretable. However, some of the C.280/15 photos are actually of a LVG C.I. and I might add, I don't believe that there's a published serial list for the batch of LVG C.I which includes C.280/15 and terminates in C.323/15, so very useful that Albindenis published the photographs. So as a follow up to that has anyone seen any evidence for LVG C.I serials in the range C.274/15 to C.279/15?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Captured German Aircraft

Hard to tell and not able to identify BUT the

caption on the ebay photo gives Vedrines and Moreuil

Is-it a bad caption with a mix of Moreuil and the loss of the LVG type C II n° C ... / 15 of FAA 262 at Moreuil on 3 october 1915 ?????

Re: Photos Captured German Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on delcampe are two German aircraft that have fallen into French hands:

https://www.delcampe.net/en_GB/colle...176603604.html

One is a Gotha, either LE.2 A88/13 or LE.3 A.88/14.

The other an Aviatik P 14 with an inscription below the pilots cockpit. Alas, to myself at least, illegible.

Clint

Re: Photos Captured German Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo captioned as a saptured Fokker at:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154717261...YAAOSwC9xhnkaN

It isn't a Fokker,It may be a captured Pfalz or possibly an uncaptured Morane Saulnier Type L.Difficult to say.

Clint

Re: Photos Captured German Aircraft

Clint it's a Morane L., it has the "MS" logo on the cowling; early ex-French machines kept French cocardes in British service.
