Re: Kursk, the Air Battle
I have the "Barbarossa" and the "Stalingrad" books of said series and I find them to be a bit like "BC/RS light". Pretty much the same stuff except BC/RS has a much greater depth (incl personal accounts, individual events etc).

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle
Hello!
I got to see "Kursk" yesterday and read a little bit through it and from what I saw and read, this must be the best in the series yet. as there is no corresponding BC/RS to this book yet, the narrative and the pictures are new, and it is amzing how much information IanAllan has packed into the pages. definitely a book to get.... ps.: I did not buy it because my new DSLR is coming next week and this one uses up a lot of funds, otherwise spent on books-but it will surely come in handy for this year´s airshow season ![]() cheers phil |

Re: Kursk, the Air Battle
Hello,
as an owner of this book, i would say it's a must read. But since i am very interested in air battle at Kursk, i have also to say, some figures are not correspondending with the newest infos. While the air battle is really well described, i am not that satisfied when it comes to the relationship between ground battle and air battle. The picture could be clearer, as described in the book. But anyhow, great work! |
