Re: New Battle of Britain book by Bergstrom

Hello again,
'Mars' raised a question mark in his posting regarding availability and delivery.
Before ordering the BoB book I did a search and found that I better hold back my order for a while as I doubt the book will appear under the publisher Leandoer & Ekholm. I understand from their own website that they intended to publish also the English version in 2006 (?).

Following some web forum debates I concluded that this publishing company is in a clash with authors and contributors, also involving legal disputes, why I decided that I better wait and see as I believe this book will probably not be published as intended in foreseeable time.

These two forums linked below are in Swedish and debating over the book “Slaget om Ostpreussen” and I see the same pattern as I wrote about in my comments on the “BoB” book earlier; Sloppy editing with misspellings, wrong captions or incorrect captions and language inconsistencies etc.
Without going too deep into the editing details it is obvious that some contributors are in a rather serious conflict with the publisher, why I have drawn my own conclusions – and decided to stay back, hoping Christer Bergström’s BoB book later will be available in a format and a quality which will fit the content and author the best.

Those of you who read Swedish can understand more on the subject, for example regarding the book “Slaget om Ostpreussen” published by this publisher here (At the ‘Krigsforum’ you will need to register to read):

For English readers there is also a thread discussing the possibility of seeing “Slaget om Ostpreussen”, or rather the intended English version ''Königsberg: The Battle for East Prussia'', released. In parallel with my conclusion regarding Mr. Bergström’s BoB book I would like to point out to visitors here from the ‘Feldgrau’ forum that based on the Swedish forum threads above my best guess is that we will not see it released in English through this publisher(Leandoer & Ekholm).

I do by the way have the Swedish language edition of this book and can understand the comments on editing as well as some other comments in the two Swedish forum discussions.

If anyone has more updated information it would be good to know.

Best regards,
Goran
