Thank You very much Peter!

Hmmm... RLM71/70/65...

I thought he was killed in L1+XB, with fuselage sides and V-Stabs overpainted in RLM65...

Franek,

I see you are familiar with 'Allo, Allo' then? An absolutely hilarious comedy series. I never get tired of watching the episodes of that series.

Ich bin nicht Herr Flick, sondern Herr Vasco aus England...!

Re: Questions about V.(Z)/LG 1.

Are you living in Shiteau or are you one of the British airmen?!
Yes, I am familiar, but only with Polish version so missing most of word plays. Now I hear a German version is to be aired, but I cannot imagine it at all.
It seems it is a quite accurate rendition of the war there.
PS Have you received my mail?

Franek,
A German version! That is unusual. A few years ago, Karl Schröder, former Bordfunker with Erpr. Gr. 210/SKG 210/ZG 1, who was a great friend, stayed with myself and my wife for a few days. I played him a video of one episode of 'Allo, Allo', and warned him that it poked fun at all of the countries involved. His English was very good, and so he understood all of the humour. When it was finished, he said it was hilarious, but could never be shown on German TV. How things change. You should try to get hold of some episodes in English to get a good idea of the humour in it.

I haven't received an e-mail from you recently, so could you send it again?

Well, I know what the sense of humour is there, the point is that it cannot be translated into any language. I doubt the German version will be anything close to the original, but yes, it is going to be aired soon, this April?
I have had a laugh recently reading somewhere about a homosexual lobby in the Wehrmacht, that arranged postings to France, and especially Paris. War is terrible, is not it?
PS Massage has been resent on msn address.

And the lobby leader must have been Lt. Hubert Gruber with his little tank

Now in the very last episode, Gruber is married... But I won't spoil it for you if you have not seen it, but it is brilliant.
