Re: Zerstorer StaKa list:

Robert, thx. Could You tell pls from what date to what date they were StaKas?

Hptm. Alexander Mauke Sick 17.0540 > 08.08.40
Hptm. Hans von Boltenstern 08.08.40 > 26.08.40

Correct?

Re: Zerstorer StaKa list:

Hi,

Re: Zerstorer StaKa list:

robert,

Where did von Boltenstern go between 26.6.40 (when you say he left V.(Z)/LG 1) and late August 40, when he tok up post as second Gruppenkommandeur of Erprobungsgruppe 210?

Re: Zerstorer StaKa list:

Yes, thx John for correct.

He came Gruppenkommandeur Erpr.Gr210 on 16 August 40 (not 26 August 40 as I thought).

This one? As I mentioned before, there are lots of mistakes in my list, and I VERY appreciate such corrections.

So, his name is Oblt. Friedrich Müer, not Meier?

I have his 3 claims, and thought his name is Meier.

26.06.44 Oblt. Meier 6./ZG 1 B-24  14 Ost N/CO-5: 6.500 m. [N.W. Pressburg] 09.49 Film C. 2027/II Anerk: Nr.71

No he didn't. When Rubensdörffer was KIA on 15/8/40, Martin Lutz became acting-Gruppenkommandeur until the posting-in of von Boltenstern on 26/8/40. When von Boltenstern was lost on 4/9/40 Lutz once again became acting-Gruppenkommandeur until he was made substantial in the post on 7/9/40.

Re: Zerstorer StaKa list:

Evgeny,

Give me a bit of time, and I will scan the page from an Appendix in 'Bombsights Over England' with all the details I have of the Staka of Erpr. Gr. 210. This will include those who were acting-Staka.

Changing the subject slightly. I notified you of my views about the victory claims of Eduard Tratt, and the fact that it was unlikely that he was over central/west southern coast of England in August 1940 if he was with Erpr. Gr. 210. Now Larry Hickey's post places him with ZG 2, so it becomes reasonable to accept his claims in that area at that time, because ZG 2 DID fly operations in that area of England (with the caveat that ZG 2 appeared to heavily overclaim victories). What this does do, is call into question the previously held belief that he was with Erpr. Gr. 210 in July 1940.

Robert,

I just asked the question in case you knew some details of his movement that I was not aware of. We are all still learning new things.
