Thanks, Adriano, for the pointer to the 'White 17', and the extensive guide to photos of the MiG-3 family.
Actually, I was more interested in finding out which VVS units had this style of applying the serial (bort) number spread across the fin-and-rudder (one such machine, with a light coloured band on the top of the vertical tail, was captured by Rumanian troops in 1941). Unfortunately, I am not a modeller (any more).
