Re: Ju 52 of Blindflugschule on floats?

Ju 52 VB+UF was W-Nr. 6515 and was indeed on floats in 1940/41 (11000 l floats). First flight in July 1939, February-May 1940 conversion to float plane. It was later at the E-Stelle Travemünde, KGzbV 9 and KGzbV 1. The aircraft crashed near Bratina/Russia in April 1943.

Re: Ju 52 of Blindflugschule on floats?

Thanks for clearing that one up Peter... I'd imagine that the BFS 3 connection is spurious then, unless Peter van Gogh has evidence otherwise...

Cheers

Re: Ju 52 of Blindflugschule on floats?

In a document dated March 1944, I found reference to two civilian-marked "Wasser-Ju"s: D-AKIY (W. Nr. 5429) and D-AQUI (W. Nr. 5489), respectively.

I hope this tidbit of info may be interesting for the seaplane aficionados...
