Re: rcaf p-40 crash 2nd october 1942

Alex, this block of P-40s were ordered by the RAF, but diverted to the RCAF before any RAF service. There is photographic proof of several of them operating for a few months with RAF serials before the allocated RCAF serials were painted on. It isn't clear to me if this aircraft had been repainted before it crashed.
