Re: Notation on Portrait - Can Airman be traced?

Hello,

Alfons Köster received his Ritterkreuz as an Oberfeldwebel (Pic of Rainer/JohnnyB) on 29.10.1942, the person in question was already Leutnant in 11/38.
Why dont we take the facts and count it together.
We have a Heinrich, a Lt. Köster and a Beobachter Abzeichen.

Maybe later Oblt. Heinrich Köster, 4.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 11 , KIA 01.12. 1942 ??
Sorry no picture of him so far.

Just my 2 cents

Norbert

Re: Notation on Portrait - Can Airman be traced?

If the holiday greetings signed by Heinrich have no connection to Lt Köster, this could be it:
1942-03-17, 1.(H)/23, Hs 126B-1, 4345, 6K+AH, 2 km südöstlich Golubowka, Feindbeschuß. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Fw Hohns, Eberhardt, +
Beobachter Hptm Köster, Ihno, +

Matti
