Re: Who shot down Obst. Walter Oesau?
Sorry to resurrect this post but I am still puzzled as to who shot him down. The reports submitted by Doyle and Jarvis make no mention of a 20 minute combat which went from altitude down to zero feet only that they fired fleeting shots ad a Bf 109 and never made a claim. Furthermore, their location of combat ( 40 miles north of Wiesbaden) is nowhere near he finally fell to earth at Etang des Concessions, Beho, Belgium. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
