Re: Trying to ID crashed British (?) a/c and pilot's grave WC/FC in France or Belgium
I found Sgt. P. T. Wareing was said to be a POW and Escaper, via Sweden.
Yet his name does not seem to be in the POW lists on RAF Commands website but is in the E&E list ? So back to Blenheim T1990. |

Re: Trying to ID crashed British (?) a/c and pilot's grave WC/FC in France or Belgium
Dear Larry, iam new here as a former dutch airforce recovery team member with the task locating and recovery mia and still involved through a specialised red cross team i came across your question. I know this picture as you have a closer look on the left you maby can recognize a possible heavely dammaged small calliber 7.62 cal machinegun. The grave is small so normally 1 crew. Proberbly 1940 early war. You saw also the photos of a downed airplane looks like same erea with burned crew?
Best regards, Kenn |
