				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Hello Stephan, Referring to your post #8, I have one small correction and possibly a little more information. The markings on the fin of Ju88G-6 below its WNr. 622621 is probably VI D/R, which refers to the frequency of FuG220 SN-2 radar carried. If I am off on this, I am certain one of our resident radar experts will set me straight. The numerals visible on the lower cowling oil ring of the wrecked Fw190 at Dessau are the Motornummer of its BMW801D. After checking my BMW801 database file, I think it is probably WNr. 453117, built by BMW Flugmotorenbau, München, Werke Allach. This number fits nicely between several others I have documented. Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
One interesting addendum to the Dessau photos: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WW2-PHOTO-GE...ht_2107wt_1153 A Ju 86 B or C (?) TS+??, which is a rare sight in 1945. Does anyone know its full Stammkennzeichen? |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
This is most likely Ju86C-1, WNr 0974 with Verbandskennzeichen T9+__ . Lufthansa gave the aircraft to the Vers.Verb.OKL as a liaison aircraft in Oktober 1944. I don't know why this plane was at Dessau in April 1945. Regards Peter |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Hi Peter, and thanks for the info - sounds convincing, but after a quick online check (ja, ja, I know) it seems that 0974 was captured at Prague and later used by the Czechoslovak air force. That's a little confusing ... I also wouldn't throw away the TS+??-theory that fast. According to stammkennzeichen.de it seems that the block TS+NA to +NJ was allocated to some Ju 86s of different variants that served with different radio or navigation schools (probably all with LNS Halle initially). NA, NC, ND, NG and NJ are listed as being of non-matching sub-variants, but the others I think are valid options: TS+NB - no further info on identity or variant TS+NE - no further info on identity or variant TS+NF - no further info on identity or variant TS+NH - Werknr. 5017 TS+NI - Werknr. 277 Couldn't our plane be one of them? |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Do you see the holes in the fuselage? These are windows and a hatch and were features of the passenger aircraft. No military Ju 86 had a hatch in the rear fuselage or these windows. And your TS+ airplanes are all military Ju 86. I need to check all the other passenger aircraft because of similarities. Regards Peter |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Thanks for your inputs, Peter and ChristianK. One thing is clear on the picture: it is a STKZ starting with "TS+..". This fact does orientate further discussions around this very interesting plane. Cheers Marc |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Hmm, this argument could take a while For the moment let's just assume it could be either an "S" or a "9" and wait with what Peter will come up with ... |

				Re: eBay: Bf109G-8 "Gelbe 11".
Now as there is a possibility, that it would be T9, we could read a "9" quite for sure, Nd about the G-10, all of them stayed in Dessau, noones reach units ?? There is also a G with streamlined antenna, Morgenstern ??, what about this one ?? Rémi |
