You could try asking Andy but the book was written 20 years ago and no doubt more information has been found since then such as Brian's book

Is he a forum member ? One day earlier (2002) Andrew Thomas had indicated a Vale total of 30+3sh, too (in "Gloster Gladiator Aces"). Strangely, Edward Simms had listed a total of 24 in 1972.
