Please accept my sincere apologies. I did not look closely enough at the 3400 line excel spread sheet I referenced. The only other 48th FS loss between 18 Dec 42 and 18 Jan 43 seems to have been Captain Andrew J. Bing on 3 January shot down by Bf-109s SSW of Fondouk between 1130 and 1200 hours. I guess that LT Warren seemed a likely candidate because the aircraft in question appeared to have belly landed intact and was later set afire. Rest assured that I am more thorough with my research than sometimes adding my two cents worth to TOCH queries.

No worries, remember this is all for fun. A lot of this is pure speculation since the players have all died off.
