The I./JG 301 was moved to France from Germany during the next day (13.06.44).

			Simon,

There were several NJG 3 and NJG 4 claims between Rouen and Amiens that night...and at least one KG 51 claim over England! Maybe a mis-identification from the gunners? Does Theo Boithen do have more details about the night activies? He may have more data for you. Adriano |

Re: FW.190 night fighter loss, June 12/13 1944, Rouen

			Dear all,

Heavy bomber claims during the French raids on 12-13.6.44 amounted to 15 night fighters destroyed and five damaged. Set against these numbers, I have only found two Nachtjagd loss records for the night, both for twin-engined Nachtjäger. There were no single-engined fighter losses. Will give full details plus a very detailed analysis of the night's raids, battles and claims on both sides in one of the upcoming volumes in the Nachtjagd Combat Archive series. Cheers, Theo |

I think the title of my post should have read "Possible Luftwaffe night-fighter loss June 12/13 1944, possibly near Rouen." ![]() Regards Simon Last edited by wwrsimon; 13th February 2019 at 13:12. Reason: odd formatting |
