Re: Help Please with Sütterlin writing in 3./KG 30 Flugbuch

Thank you very much Robert, Peter and Rasmussen. Excellent help!

Carsten, the pilot is Peter Schönauer (shot down over UK and POW 9 July 1941).

Thanks to all.

Best wishes

The flight 15 august is Grove. Whole I/KG 30 started from here, and III/KG 30 started from Aalborg.

Thanks Leo

I have his POW photo and record as part of the grouping, which is an interesting other angle to explore. I am lucky to have a copy of his interrogation report and the RAF crash report, which adds additional detail, as well as a copy of the action report from the Beaufighter pilot who shot him down.

Hi Tim
Sorry that I have not answered you before. Thanks for the information. I am right now sitting in the Bundesarchiv Freiburg. I am a 'bit' interested in Grove in august 1940. I will drop you a line if I find anything down here
Carsten
