Re: ZG-76 Claims against No 107 Sqn 17April1940
Hi Chris
Thanks for the information. Strangely all seven of ZKG.30's claims are recorded as just that, yet Herbert Bonsch was Staffelkapitän of 2./ZKG.30 at time, so I guess it's safe to say that this unit was sub-dived into Staffels. I wonder if any abschuss tafel survive for I./ZG76 ? Unfortunately only one gruppe for ZG26 and ZG76 earlier type mikrofilms have survived......nothing at all for ZG1 or ZG2.....such a shame. Keep well Johannes |

Hello,
You will find a photograph of the I./ZG 76 Abshussetafel in the following publication: Messerschmitt Bf 110 Zerstoerer in action. Campbell,Jerry L. Warren:Squadron/Signal Publications.1977 p.17 Caption reads: German fighter units, as did their Allied counterparts, kept a score board listing their victories. This board, belonging to I./ZG 76, shows their victories through April 12 (1940). (Source:Hans Seebrandt). Discussed here: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?p=244635 Col. Re: ZG-76 Claims against No 107 Sqn 17April1940
Apart of this scoreboard there is lot of other documents regarding the claims made by I./ZG76 in 1939-40 so we can say that we have 100% of their claims from this period of time.

Re: ZG-76 Claims against No 107 Sqn 17April1940
Hi Guys
Have looked at this abschusstafel. In my opinion it does not included unconfirmed claims. I have copies of some Gollob documents where he indicates some of his "150" as being disputed, and these are not included. Working with digital copies means you can enlarge, but this distorts a lot, whereas a photo not so much. I think that the beginning of sheet two of the list continues this 12 April 1940 claims. Keep Well Johannes |
