Re: AIR WAR 1942 by John Foreman with Winfried Bock
I had a quick look through the sample pages a few days ago. In view of all the foregoing, I pulled them up again to point out the following:
Page 89, casualties 5th February 1942: 201 SqnSunderlandW3977Crashed Rathin O’Birne, crew killed. F/L F.W.Smith and 11 killed. Bottom of the same page, casualties 5/6th February 1942: 201 SqnSunderland W3977Failed to return Crashed off Rathin O’Birne, Eire. F/L F.W.Smith and crew lost
