Hi,

Thanks for these new replies.

My initial questions were asked on behalf of a Polish friend who was researching Polish pilots that served with the French Air Force in 1939-40. Because of this I cannot add any further details.

The precisions are very welcomed.

About the Leo 451, I don't have informations about the reality of this story...but a few months ago I have met the pilot...Reality or lie??? If anybody can help I shall be glad. Have you informations about landing of Leo 451 during mid june in England? Thanks for all

Related to this in a way I used to know a Fleet Air Arm veteran some years ago, who flew Grumman Wildcats, aka Martletts in the RN.

He told me many great stories one being of some captured French Wildcats they were shipping back, or had been moved back to the UK and they were moving, however on route in the air they discovered the engine bearers had been sabotaged and his engine fell off while approaching Lee on Solent.

I have no dates but does anyone know any more about these or this incident
