I have only just noticed your question - sorry for the delay in reply.

We hope to have the text of The Battle of France Remembered set by June to allow the indexer time to do his work so we can go to print in November.

It's a big project, the losses for 10 May 1940 alone cover 30 pages of text & run to 60 pages with illustrations. I will try to keep you posted.

I bet lots of us are interested in this book. To me, the Battle of France is more difficult than the Battle of Britain. Shorter, its true, but the irretrievable losses of documents make details much harder to come by and in the end we might have to call you Sherlock...

If I can make a suggestion, please post further details in the book section of TOCH. In that way we can all find out when and where (although in my case I will get it from the Aviation Bookshop)

Along with France I hope this title will include the actions over Holland and Belgium as well. I've managed to find a lot more stuff than I originally thought possible, but the Ju 52 losses are still a major stumbling stone.

Hello Jim,

Yes, the book covers all air operations on the western front from 3 September 1939 to 24 June 1940 so losses to the Dutch, Belgian, French, German, and British air forces are included. As you can imagine, the 200 or so Ju52s lost on 10 May 1940 were something of a challenge, but I've done my best to document them accurately within the constraints of available records.
