Thanks to all contributors to this thread. I shall interrogate my informant and see of he can dig out any more facts from his memory. His memories of many local RAF crashes are accurate and verifiable so I see no reason to disbelieve this story. Investigations continue and I shall keep you allinformed of any developments. Another thought - could it have been another Roswell UFO incident? :-)
