Re: Soviet balloon
Hello again,
The only shared ballon claimed by Finnish Fiat G.50s was claimed between Lauri Lautamäki (FA-6) (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/finland_lautamaki.htm) and P. Saarni (FA-1) over Kylätjatko, Kannas, on 1 November 1941. Best wishes/Håkan

Re: Soviet balloon
Yes, the tail in the photo is that of FA-1, which was Lt, later Capt., Olli Puhakka's plane.

On this images could be seen pilot Bruun posing. Initially marked as SA-1.

Re: Soviet balloon
Hello Srecko
I'm well aware that You knew the plane and probably also Håkan, but maybe some who read this tread don't, that was the reason for my last message. And yes the last victory marking in the rudder is that of Carl-Erik Bruun's only victory. I have a copy of Model Aircraft Monthly July 2007 and the main reason for buying it was Your article. It looks very interesting but regretably I haven't had time to read it yet. Cheers Juha |

Re: Soviet balloon
A clarification
FA-1 was at the time of the photo Puhakka's ex-plane, Puhakka was transferred away from LeLv 26 on Nov 7, 1941. He came back on June 5, 1942, but then he began to fly in FA-25. Strangely Puhakka's July 20, 1941 victory, also got while flying FA-1, I-153 from 65 ShAP, was not painted on the rudder. Juha |

Re: Soviet balloon
Hello Srecko
Hopefully You had a fine vacation. And thank you, I have known the photo for years but because of this tread I looked it first time for years carefully and was surprised when I noticed that 20.7.41 victory wasn't painted on the rudder. Olli was a distant relative of mine. Cheers Juha |
