thank you Michiel,

2nd picture of this 6. Staffel machine of an unknown unit; most probably JG53 though.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

RE: Post #2031. This is very interesting. For years fellow Canadian researchers would wonder where 191452 came from when looking at the aircraft on the Arnprior dump, based on Phil's information that 191454 was sent to Canada and Arnprior and scrapped there. Dug through reams of paper documents in the past few days and came across a fantastic document found in the Canadian Archives by Lee Walsh, which I totally forgot about. RCAF Overseas HQ 27th April,1946. See the photocopy attached, mentions the ME262's and HE162's by AM numbers only, unfortunately, but does mention all the Me163's with WNr's.
WNr 191452 went to Arnprior, WNr 191916 possibly the one mentioned as going to Winnipeg and WNr 191095 went to RCAF St.Hubert first the to RCAF St.Jean after 1951. The one shown in the Windsor Sept. 13, 1947 newspaper was probably 191095, link to Google Newspaper Archive below. Windsor one also has the characteristics of the St.Jean aircraft, no canopy glass or windscreen. ORB from Experimental and Proving Establishment Rockcliffe Ontario shows one Me163 assembled and ready to ship to St. Hubert July 1947. Only one Me163 the only other mention of assembling an Me262 which probably was AM52.

Just something I thought about after reading that post. Thanks for listening.
Regards
Vince...
