Looks like ER665 to me Faenor

All my sources says it was lost on 28 Dec 1942 together with two more aircraft from 152 Sq

Out of curiosity, which is your other source regarding 28 Nov?

Cheers
Stig

Regarding ER665, according to the Spitfire production list the pilot was killed:
http://www.airhistory.org.uk/spitfire/_prodn%20list.txt
I know it's impossible to tell conclusively, but it looks like this aircraft made a successful forced landing, so presumably he died of wounds?

Oddly enough MAW 3 is silent with regard to these two pilots. None is even recorded as MiA
Also uncertainty in which aircraft they flew.

Surely must be recorded somewhere if MiA, KiA or PoW

Re: eBay: Allied intrest

Hello,
For what it's worth, RAF Commands Forum's database has -
Tape with ER714
and
Glenwright with ER665.
Sadly the December 42 ORB is so faint it is hard to read, but from what I could make out for these two pilots there is no a/c serial number in the collem for them.
There is also a forum post that seems to suggest ER852 for Glenwright but I think that this is for earlier in the month ?
HMAW,vol 3 has on page 223
"British Casualties - 152 Sqn
Spitfire Vb - ER660 - Left 1425, Souk el Arba a/d patrol, shot down by Bf109s; PltOff. E,R,Gray Mia.
Spitfire Vb ER665 Souk el Arba a/d patrol, shot down by Bf 109s at 1410.
Spitfire Vb ER714 Souk el Arba a/d patrol, shot down by Bf 109s at 1410.
(These two flown by Plt Off G E Glenwright and Sgt W H Tape)".
"Fighters over Tunisia " has that it was a flight of four of 152 Sqn Spitfires as is noted on page 222 of HMAW vol 3.
There is a note in HMAW vol 5 that updates and corrections will be entered in Volume 6.
Alex
