Re: eBay: German intrest

Any information on the He 111 coded T5+MC (assuming it is "T"). Appears to be in overall Farbton 02.

Re: eBay: German intrest

do not think its T5, its prewar markings totally, rather like 15+MC or S15+MC

I am equally interesting in an explanation of the Fi 156 which seems to carry the code WL+505

Certainly a combination new to me....

Cheers

Not matching any pre-war Kampfflieger code.

Quick google turned up this for T5, but trying to pin down that He 111

T-5: Aufkl.St.Ob.d.L (Reconnaissance Squadron Commander-in-Chief Luftwaffe) 3.(Einsatz) Ob.d.L. (3rd Operational Squadron Commander-in-Chief Luftwaffe), Aufkl.Gr.100 (100th Reconnaissance Squadron), with last letter U = Wekusta Ob.d.L. (with last letter U = Meteorological Squadron Commander-in-Chief Luftwaffe).

Also: Wekusta 1/Ob.d.L.

This wheel has been spinning here before. This looks be a He 111 P (no motor air intake this side)
Early exmples known are T5+AU, T5+BU etc. then this should be Stab.III Gruppen - but of course is nonsense.
I have some S13+xx, many cases of S17+M__ and list in post above clearly indicates possiblility of there be more codes from S8 to S12, then S14 to S16.

So (S)15+MC (indivital letter C) be interesting item, also its RLM 02 overall suggest RLM or training use..
