Franck,

I have this one as Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 411 788 "RW+BC", "Schwarze 15", 2./JG ?, Brussels Melsbroek, found burnt out in a hangar according to AI2(g) series 255, dated 3 September 1944.
Unit remains a mystery though we know 2./JG 4 lost Bf 109 Bf 109 G-14 W.Nr. 460374 "Schwarze 2"at Melsbroek on 29 August 1944.

Oddly or rather extraordinarily, a segment of the rear fuselage is - to my knowledge - still extent and exhibited the Brussels Museum.

Cheers
Marc

Marc,

Yesterday you had it as "Schwarze 7", today you have it as "Schwarze 15" (we don't know why since if one was found doesn't mean it is the one) and tomorrow you will have as "???" .... but always with the same self confidence ...
At least it was found at Bruxelles-Melsbroek.
Still waiting for a clear picture showing us the tactical code if by chance there is a tactical code.
Cheers,
Franck.

No "Schwarze 7" known at Melsbroek to my knowledge nor in my files, Franck.

As for a clear photographic evidence for "Schwarze 15", we have it legible on the photo found by RudiS today, and you have it plain to see in another photo published by Smith and Gallaspy 1977, Luftwaffe Colors 3, Monogram, p. 117.

Cheers
Marc
