Clint. The only "Schrammer" in the Grub Street "Jasta Pilots" book is Uffz. Schrammer, Jasta 43 on 26 Feb. 1918; it's got their white tail (usually with a number on the fin).

....for sure, does it begin with MFJ?
I note the bidding has reached quite a high price and agreeing with you that it may well be a naval aircraft given the Swabby and the location I've tried to identify the markings with a known naval ace,but so far nothing. Regards, Clint
