German intrest #3008, pictures 6,7,8,10
Hello,

#3008, pictures 6,7,8,10

Pics 6 & 7 : taken in January or February 1944 at Nantes-Château Bougon. They show Oblt. Alfred Schmid, Staffelkapitän of the Wekusta 2 Obdl, celebrating his 100th mission within this unit.

Pic 8 (Schmid alone) & pic 10 (Schmid with his crew): both were taken sooner, possibly in 1942, when Oblt. Alfred Schmid was still assigned to the Wekusta 51.

Thank you Pierre. A copy of a photo from this series came with a grouping I bought to another man and I never knew who this crew was before!

No 6 - This is a crashed Ar65 - WL-IGYG which crashed in Nov 1939. Does anyone know the location. (Not: The pilot was killed in the incident)
