Saro just told me there's no hangar like that in Italy.
This business isn't cristal clear ..
Cheers,
Franck.

Good news Franck - for this afternoon As for the location and plane, a 1943 date is just fitting looking at that vintage Mtt camouflage pattern... I will leave for the time being III./£JG 77 as the best possibility - there is a fair chance their emblem can be seen above and in front of the "Kleine Weisse 9".

And there we stand - once more - musing over those atypical kites... One day, another photo on offer will hit home and nail it. So my renewed thanks to Sanutzer and RudiS for their continuous and steadfast watch.

Cheers
Marc

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

The a/c in #3588 was identified in the Ebay listing as a Ju 188. Playing with the image, it appears pretty certain the first 3 digits of the W.Nr are "712" which should make the a/c a Ju 88 G-1. The last three digits are much fuzzier, my best try comes up as "335"" or "535", making the full W.Nr. 712335 or 712535, but as just noted, this is pretty "iffy". Can anyone confirm if either W.Nr. might be correct? Thanks in advance.
