With a bit of cleaning up, there's two He 111s in the middle distance with the KG 26 1H+ unit code. The meander camouflaged Ju 88 on the left looks like it's 1H+ET.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

To be honest Nick, I can only see one 1H prefixed aircraft, the one on the right.
The other two seems to carry 1T.

The real puzzle, since this is appx 1945, is why the unit designators are with such big digits and letters.

Cheers
Stig

Blow the picture up to 200% and I believe I can see the horizontal bar of the H on the lefthand Heinkel.

The white bands, the unit code styles and the Heinkels with KG 26 all point to much earlier in the war than 1945

Still cannot see 1H on the left hand Heinkel Nick
I can see your point, but the right hand vertical bar in the H is then far too close to the cross, which is not the case with the right hand Heinkel where by the way the H is very clearly visible. As far as I am concerned we have two 1T and one 1H aircraft visible in the picture.

I agree it must be much earlier than 1945. Scrapyard in North Africa seems a possibillity.

Cheers
Stig
