Re: Photo Fokker D.VII

Hi Clint. As it looked so similar I googled "Jasta 53" and found this. Couldn't find another photo though.

Re: Photo Fokker D.VII

Hello Nick,

My problem is my record keeping. I actually have a photo of D.VII (Alb) 638/18 already where the serial can be seen. Next time I'll check my existing D.VII images.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photo Fokker D.VII

Yep, that is rare indeed

Pity the actual photo is rather indifferent (in aircraft terms that is)

Cheers

Re: Photo Fokker D.VII

Hi Stig,

A fair comment, but I wasn't previously aware of the operator of this particular machine, so still good to have. Hopefully I said view will turn up one day!

Clint

Re: Photo Fokker D.VII

Jeschonnek's insignia was a white snorting "rampant" bull; black fuselage, white tail.

Given that the seller has not used the word original I assume that it has been seen before. I have a couple of thoughts about the identity of the unit/pilot, but given my uncertainty I thought I'd solicit information from other board users. SO any thoughts?

Clint
