Re: Ju88 shot down Nr Warminster

Hi All,

take a look at this photo it is of the Newells Farm Nuthurst crash I think you will agree that this is a different aircraft so Andy we can rule this one out Thank you.

Re: Ju88 shot down Nr Warminster

Danny

I had merely posted this image (which we KNOW to be Newells Farm) to illustrate the fact that the aircraft in the original image posted in this thread was not the Newells Farm incident from 9 Sept 1940.

I think we are getting confused here.....!!!

There are clearly (to my eye) the tops of two A's on the image I posted in my previous post. I am not suggesting that the original image displayed in this thread shows two A's. I was not talking about that image! Equally, I am pretty satisfied that the photo in the original post of this thread depicts the aircraft previously suggested and detailed historically by Peter Cornwell above.

I posted the image of Newells Farm to clarify that the original image in this thread was not the Newells Farm incident.

Thumbs up Re: Ju88 shot down Nr Warminster

Sorry Andy,
I could'nt see the image attached to your first post and without it, it seemed that you suggested I got the wrong Aircraft. it all makes sense now.

I don't know why but the image was not there when I first looked at you post ?

Regards
Danny

Sorry Andy, also thought you was talking about Danny's photo. Yes clearly +AA at Newell's farm. Incidentally only this evening have I been able to see the image of the Newell's Ju88 in your post. Another that looks to be an A-5

Re: Ju88 shot down Nr Warminster

The confusion might have been due to the fact that the image I submitted disappeared after my initial post. No idea why. However, I re-submitted and it still seems to be there.

At least we are now all singing from the same song sheet and there is no confusion....I hope!

Re: Ju88 shot down Nr Warminster

Are other angles available of the Newells Farm aircraft - Especially from the rear and / or better confirming the longer wings?
