A quick update: Names have been corrected in my files. I´m also grateful for Horst Kube, Remi Tracanelli and Trevor Baxter for sharing their material and research with me.

Sergio - Best wishes on the success of your book. Thanks for your positive comments on my WW II imposters thread.
A lot of folks are not aware that Brasil ( and Mexico) had P - 47 Squadrons in the War. The Brasilians were based with the 350th FG in Italy. Did you ever get to meet any of the Pilots?
Cheers,
Mike

Yes, Mike, I knew some of them. I was even luck to be in a meeting with several pilots in Nero Moura´s flat and heard a lot of fun histories. Unfortunately most of them have passed way... Have you any interest on them? Do you have the double DVD Senta a Pua! ?

Segio - I knew Hugh " Rowdy " Dow and Fred Smith from the 350th FG. They knew a few of the pilots and some stories. I don't have the DVD.
I'm glad you got to know some of them. Yes, unfortunately we are rapidly
losing our WW II Vets. My Dad is 86 , still looks like a fighter pilot and is in good health for now. We live close by and keep an eye on him.
Cheers,
Mike

Sergio, did anyone mention a landing on a Polish Squadron airfield? There was a funny situation, when at least one Thunderbolt landed, and they were most surprised to hear one of the pilots speaking their tongue. It was a Briton named Tate, native of Rio I think.

Yes Franek, the funny situation is well know being described in Ruy Moreira Lima´s book Senta a Pua!. The pilot´s name is Frederick C. Tate and has passed way few years ago. There is an interview with him in the DVD.

Talking of funny situations, I´m very ashamed in not noticing before the photo Horst posted some pages earlier can´t be a Fw 58! Yesterday Eduardo pointed me this and I´m really ashamed in not figuring it´s from a three engined plane... Well, I was "blind" searching for unknow Stkzs... that´s life...
